Legacy Minerals Initiative — Public Overview

The Legacy Minerals Initiative (LMI) exists because access to base metals, critical minerals, and strategic resources cannot be taken for granted. Supply chains that depend on single-source nations, aging infrastructure, or untested extraction methods carry risks that compound across industries — from the construction steel that builds cities to the rare earths that power defense systems to the regolith that will sustain off-world operations. The LMI is Signet Solis’s answer to a first-principles question: what does it take to assure access to these resources for generations?

The answer is a systems engineering architecture of 148 technologies organized across 27 domains and 7 development phases — spanning mining, defense, and space. Every technology in the LMI Stack exists because a physical, economic, or regulatory constraint demands it. Each is tracked against Technology Readiness Levels (TRL 1–9), providing a rigorous, auditable measure of maturation from concept through operational deployment. The architecture enforces explicit dependencies between technologies, ensuring that development proceeds in a sequenced, risk-managed order.

The cross-sector thesis is structural, not aspirational: the disciplines that extract and process resources safely underground are the disciplines that operate in contested environments, and the disciplines that will sustain resource utilization off-world. Cross-sector compounding — where operational discipline forged in mining hardens systems for defense and proves them for space — is built into the architecture itself. The LMI Stack is managed through Gravity, Signet Solis’s AI-augmented model-based systems engineering platform with 4 operational modules, and supported by an integrated compliance framework — 44 GRC modules including complete GAAP coverage (79/79 applicable standards) and DCAA-ready financial reporting. The result is a technology program where every node, every dependency, and every phase is traceable — from resource development underground to assured access off-world.
